The team here at D&D Autos is celebrating a major success after reaching the finals of a top national competition earlier this month.
Your favourite independent garage made it through two gruelling rounds to get to the finals of the Top Garage competition, a prestigious showcase of the best of the best.
While we didn’t win, we were delighted to have finished in the top rank of the 10+employees category of the competition, a success which reflects well on the whole team here at Moat Way.
More than 500 of the best garages from across the country entered the competition, sponsored by Aftermarket magazine, and only the best stayed the course through to the final round.
“We were really pleased to reach the finals at our first attempt,” said operations manager Lorraine Fuller. “This is a high profile competition that involves presenting to a panel of judges and answering detailed questions on our processes. To make the shortlist was a real achievement.”
This year’s near-miss comes after another great showing last year, when we reached the finals of the Independent Garage Awards.
“We are proud of our independence and it is always good to have our high standards recognised by other people,” Lorraine went on. “The Top Garage competition was particularly challenging and made us think carefully about the way we do things, and that will feed back into even better customer service in future – and perhaps a win at the second attempt!”
The team was particularly pleased to do well this year, as this year marked D&D Autos 40 years in business here in Ashford.
